Reblogged from kellyann's
There was a lady who was facing problems in life. Every problem solved meant another one resurfacing. She consulted her mom and told her about her diminishing will to continue living as she was tired of struggling.
Her mother brought her to the kitchen & boiled three pots of water. She put carrots in the first, eggs in the second & grounded coffee beans in the last. Half an hour had past when she turned off the fire. She then fished out the carrots, pulled out the eggs and ladled the coffee into a bowl, asking her daughter, " what do you see?"
The daughter replied, " Carrots, eggs and coffee ".
Her mother told her to feel the three. She realised the carrots has gone soft, the egg turned hard and that the coffee had a rich aroma.
These three objects faced the same adversity but, they reacted differently.
The carrot went in strong, hard and unrelenting. However after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak.
The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior. But, after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened.
The ground coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the boiling water they had changed the water.
Her mother questioned her, " So.. which are you? "
Are you the carrot which puts on a strong front but ended up being weak?
Are you the egg which never changes appearance on the outside but changed frmo being soft to stiff?
Or are you the beans when an adversity takes place, you change your surroundings rather than it change you?
xx
Aaaaah. I must learn to control my emotions, don't take it out on friends. Breathe....
Today's market research fieldtrip was fun fun fun
One of the worst thing in life probably is to allow shallow minded people who don't mean a thing to bring you down.
Aja aja fighting!!! ^_^
'You know how riding real fast
in a car
or a spectacular take off
in a jet
gives you an awesome rush of adrenaline?
You know how spotting an eagle
cruising low over
the treetops,
or watching a baby finally master
the try-try again
of walking makes you glow all over?
You know how singing a beautiful song
with dead-on pitch,
or getting every test answer right,
including the extra credit
brainteaser,
makes you feel like you could take on the world?
You know how waking up to perfect skies,
enough sunshine to warm you, but
enough to bake you,
or watching a silent fall of quarter-sized
snowflakes
gives you delicious shivers of pleasure?
Somewhere on my stroll
with the monster,
I'd lost these things.'
I'll never want to lose the ability to find joy in the finest things.
I'll never want my inner demons to overcome me to such extend.
Good times, bad times, get through it !!!
